Trips on the lakes: Lake Baccio

One of the easiest places to reach but full of charm. A mountain lake with turquoise waters near the forest.
Lake Baccio is among the largest lakes in the province of Modena. It is located in a valley known above all for the numerous archaeological finds found in the area, also due to the presence in the antiquity of Celtic populations. Although the origin of the lake is still uncertain, it is thought to be of glacial origin.
It is about 1500 meters high and can be reached by a 30-40 minute walk from the Holy Lake.
Near the lake there are two small rock gyms for children and different paths for excursions; going up the stream that feeds the lake, on well-traced paths you will reach the ridge of Monte Rondinaio.
